A little vintage in a Park
While walking to the reservoir, we chanced upon two kittens with the mother cat. The kittens were playing rascally with each other that we can't resist taking shots of them.

Oh my, it was love at first sight

A fairytale AB box for rental! It was love at first sight! It's just so hard to resist for any girl! But the rental is not cheap and I can understand why, it can't be found anywhere in Singapore I suppose. I'm still trying to convince myself to learn to make something like this due to the high rental cost I have to swallow! But ultimately, I believe I will still get it rather than making one.
Alot more ideas are adding in to my wedding collection and I have so much in mind to DIY.. I got those lovely ideas from lovelylacey in case you are wondering where the ideas are coming from.
I shall TRY to put a stop to my shopping addiction and indulge in shopping for my DIY items. Good luck to myself in my DIY making.

Mommy's day celebration

As it happened to be the durian fiesta, I ordered mum's favourite durian cake from Goodwood Park Hotel but I wouldn't have remembered it if not for my colleague who was ordering for her mum as well. I also ordered one box of their signature durian puffs for BF's mom though I have yet to try that and wondered if it's as good as what the verdicts mentioned.
We had a jolly celebration at home, sang the song "世上只有妈妈好" to mom that reminded all of us here of our sweet childhood days. I could see my mum's blushing face as we sang along.

Thank you mom for bearing our nonsense, laziness and temper. But in our hearts, you are the greatest mom!Saturday, May 22, 2010
Making Sushi
We first stopped by Jurong point to buy the ingredients at the NTUC. Then she started to explain the steps on how to mix the ingredients together. I took them down in writing as I tend to be forgetful. After cousin demonstrated how to roll the sushi, BF had his hands to try it.
I am better than BF because I spread the rice evenly. That's what my cousin said girls tend to be more meticulous in such areas. haha my strong point. :)
This cold tofu is the most easiest way to make.
A simple and healthy lunch. As it was too much to fill our glutted stomachs, we tabao some sushi back for BF's parents. Thanks cousin Rochelle for her time to guide us.
We have better start planning a sushi-making day in order to recount what we have learnt!

New desktop
Work has been pretty quiet this week and I'm grateful for it. I hate rushed orders :X
Yesterday I accompanied my brother to 313 Somerset. He wanted to get a pressie for a girl (not his gf btw) and wanted a shopping companion. After visiting Joop and three storey high @ Forever 21, we decided on a beige dress at Joop and I bought a similar one for myself too! hehe. We also ordered a petite cake from icing room.
We had chat over dinner at The Handburger at basement two. The bill sum up to $30.
I ordered the chicken caesar, tasted good and bro had the duck confit which isn't impressive.

The day I had my lousy mood
When I didn't have a min of 6 hrs sleep, I always feel grouchy. But it doesn't happen all the time of course. But because my menses happened to come for the fourth day with three ulcers in my mouth. Then my mind started to pick on everything. My slow startup of laptop, slow upload of outlook, seeing hundred of emails, those emails which my salesman fwd me to quote that he doesn't seem to bother at all, nuisance phonecalls, blah blah blah.. even cranky jokes made by my colleagues that I felt so irritated I can't smile like I used to. I just can't wait to get the hell out of here and head home.
An ex-colleague of mine changed my mind about heading back to my sack. I agreed to meet him for dinner as I have not seen him since his wedding early this year. Being friends with someone who has been through hardships has enlighten me in a way or so. He gives me his rightful opinion which I find it reasonable enough to understand. It's appeasing to know there are people who care for me and to share their true live stories to me.
How many of us have true friends that we can count on for life? Do cherish the ones you met for life is indeed short. I'm beginning to feel I'm ageing as I'm going 30 next year. And I seem to have more worries than before. Why is that so?

Lazy is an excuse.
A few weeks ago, sister suggested a group photography shooting at Punggol beach and jetty. We raved this idea so off we headed down. By chance, I spotted a small field of lalang nearby and decided this to be one of the locations to have my wedding photoshoot! So glad to find it in the eastern corner of Singapore =D
Probably some of you already knew, there is a history behind this beach. This beach used to be one of the Japanese killing fields. It brings back grim memories to older generations because during the World War II in 1942, 400 Chinese civilians were massacred by the Japanese soldiers. Thus, it has been marked as a national heritage site.
The Punggol beach view is awe-inspiring. I enjoyed the natural refreshing view. The beach is quiet, water is consider clean, not as dirty as ECP. There's many rocks lying around and the sand landed soft on our feet. I'm sure no one would mind walking barefoot.

Best photo for this shoot!Monday, April 26, 2010

Birthday treat
Great! I have shortlisted one location to have my photo shoot! This place has a small field of lalang, just nice for me to take some nice shots! :)
There was one of the Saturdays the four of us went to the new Parco @ Millenia Walk. It was not supposed to be a planned shopping trip but I was wrong! Unknowingly I bought stuffs for myself :(
We treated Des & Rain to Ma Maison, meant to be a belated dinner for Des. The food portions were small and a little pricey. However, the ambience was great with dim lights and country style of design.
We were still hungry after the dinner and we headed to Ice Dreamland for desserts. hehehe.

We have also signed up "Before you say Yes" at Trinity Christian Centre. This 6 lessons course is a pre-requisite for couples intending to marry and wish to learn about the definitions of marriage, how to resolve marital issues and family relationships. It's like going back to school, I am all excited. :P It's starting next month and May will be a busy month for me as I also need to make trips down to bridal studio..

Family outing
After the dinner, off we headed to Bottle Tree Park for our prawn fishing. It's BF and my first time prawn fishing so you can imagine how ignorant we were doing the bait. I'm amazed to see how patient those people were, they can just sit there for hours waiting for the prawn to eat the bait. Seriously I find it costly and we only managed to catch 3 prawns for an hour with three rented rods.

As it's considered early for a Saturday night, sister suggested having ice-cream @ Udders, Bt Timah. It was a pretty long journey from Sembawang all the way to Bt Timah. But we quite enjoyed the night that evening.
