Beautiful house

I'm looking forward to the completion of our new house. Things have been moving slowly as we aren't in a rush to shift in. We are taking a step at each time to ensure our ID has time to focus on our project.

Below are just some of my ideas. Note: these designs do not belong to my house, just for reference.

The living room: Splashes of black, white and some red

  • Bible verse and flower decals to paste on our empty walls

  • cushion stool for guests

Our master bedroom: Splashes of white & purple

  • Baroque style dressing table

  • cushion chair
Our bathroom colour: white, red & black

  • red & black vanity top (exactly like the one on the 1st pic)

  • square basin

  • huge mirror

I'm back!

From the busiest months started from April, I have been fully occupied with wedding and house renovation. Come to think of it, it's four months since I last blogged! OMG..

I have since collected my house keys on 18th May (Wednesday), four days right after my wedding! Dear and me were so happy about it as we waited for almost 3 years for the flat. Everything seem to come at the right time. New marriage, new house and last of all, new job starting on 1st August. Thanks to our lovely God that I got through the interview and he place me in a reputable company.

We had spent quite a huge sum on our electrical works as we plan to have more downlights and cove lights to make the appearance of the whole house cozy. I gotten most of our lights from lightings.com at Balestier road. It's a good deal. Do drop by there if you are looking for affordable prices!

Here's some of the lights taken at our new house. I love the chandelier I have chosen because it's cheaper than I thought!! Guess how much?

Chandelier for our dining area @ S$159 only! good deal!

Cove and downlights for our MBR

Baroque lights for our two rooms: guest room and wardrobe cum study room

I have to say that curtains and wallpaper are not cheap if you plan to install quality ones. We did not go for Ikea curtains, instead we went to a curtain shop at Balestier introduced by our ID for some quality and thick curtains. We did some bargaining and finally managed to reduce $200 off total price. I do feel the pain of it when the things we like are costing so much! The wallpaper is a killer too.. but no choice, we both love to have our dining area looking posh and romantic.. There goes our savings.

I declared myself broke! :'(
