Lazy is an excuse.

I have stopped my weekly blogging as most time I was busy reading other bloggers' posts! I have been following a few interesting bloggers' journalism on travelling trips, fashion and makansutra. You may notice the left corner of the favourite links adding up! lol.

A few weeks ago, sister suggested a group photography shooting at Punggol beach and jetty. We raved this idea so off we headed down. By chance, I spotted a small field of lalang nearby and decided this to be one of the locations to have my wedding photoshoot! So glad to find it in the eastern corner of Singapore =D

Probably some of you already knew, there is a history behind this beach. This beach used to be one of the Japanese killing fields. It brings back grim memories to older generations because during the World War II in 1942, 400 Chinese civilians were massacred by the Japanese soldiers. Thus, it has been marked as a national heritage site.

The Punggol beach view is awe-inspiring. I enjoyed the natural refreshing view. The beach is quiet, water is consider clean, not as dirty as ECP. There's many rocks lying around and the sand landed soft on our feet. I'm sure no one would mind walking barefoot.

Best photo for this shoot!

Cute gifts from Taiwan

ET returned from his reservist trip to Kaohsiung, Taiwan in March and only today I met him at the MRT to collect my souvenirs. hehe. it's very thoughtful of him since he was in ocean shore most of the time and still manage to get nice gifts for me! He even got me my mascara that I'm using. haha.

So here's sharing what he got for me which I find the packaging very unique and cute and edible! But I can't bear to eat them.

Birthday treat

I have been so uninspired to blog these days. Very lazy I can say. But shall blog a little to get this thru. :0)

Great! I have shortlisted one location to have my photo shoot! This place has a small field of lalang, just nice for me to take some nice shots! :)

There was one of the Saturdays the four of us went to the new Parco @ Millenia Walk. It was not supposed to be a planned shopping trip but I was wrong! Unknowingly I bought stuffs for myself :(

We treated Des & Rain to Ma Maison, meant to be a belated dinner for Des. The food portions were small and a little pricey. However, the ambience was great with dim lights and country style of design.

We were still hungry after the dinner and we headed to Ice Dreamland for desserts. hehehe.

We have also signed up "Before you say Yes" at Trinity Christian Centre. This 6 lessons course is a pre-requisite for couples intending to marry and wish to learn about the definitions of marriage, how to resolve marital issues and family relationships. It's like going back to school, I am all excited. :P It's starting next month and May will be a busy month for me as I also need to make trips down to bridal studio..

Family outing

It's been months since our family had our last outing. So it was decided on 13th March. I haven't fully recover but felt I shouldn't miss out on this family event as it's rare everyone was free that day.Our first venue was having dinner at Sembawang (泰国吃) recommended by sis' BF WK, it's just beside a Hindu temple and I ever heard people rave about this coffeshop before so it must be good. Indeed everyone was pleased with the dinner.

After the dinner, off we headed to Bottle Tree Park for our prawn fishing. It's BF and my first time prawn fishing so you can imagine how ignorant we were doing the bait. I'm amazed to see how patient those people were, they can just sit there for hours waiting for the prawn to eat the bait. Seriously I find it costly and we only managed to catch 3 prawns for an hour with three rented rods.

As it's considered early for a Saturday night, sister suggested having ice-cream @ Udders, Bt Timah. It was a pretty long journey from Sembawang all the way to Bt Timah. But we quite enjoyed the night that evening.

sick

All along, I have never thought it will struck me one day. And it did, causing me sleepless nights and dashing to the washroom several times, making me physically and mentally tired.

I have never read and pray so hard in my life hoping all will be over soon. And I am still praying for healing in faith and humility. I know this is meant to serve a warning that I should not neglect my health again. I used to be ignorant in taking good care of my body but this has come to my senses. Now, I know I should not blindly lead my life as it has been the past 28 years.

I started to read our daily journey yesterday, understanding what GOD wants to portray to me. He wants me to learn to undergo the hardships and trials so that I can be closer to him through prayers and confidence. Inmanuel. God is with you.

"Seek the kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need" (Matthew 6:33)

Life is not merely to be alive, but to be well and healthy.

My Sweet Tyan 22nd Birthday

I was supposed to be blogging about Tyan bdae some time ago but I dragged it for weeks! Enough of lengthy paragraphs for today, I will try to keep it minimal. :)

We held a mini birthday celebration for Meifang and Tyan in office on 28th Jan. As usual, we ordered Rite pizza and KFC. Guys, try Rite pizza's chicken wings and their BBQ chicken pizza! Really finger-licking good!

And guess what surprise we had for Tyan and Meifang? A helium balloon on Tyan's desk early in the morning. As if it was not enough to make it memorable, we cut her face out from a printout and pasted on the balloon (This idea was from Mr E). All of us were laughing away when we saw her shocked expression. We got Meifang a mini hand balloon that looks like a magic wand.

Another round of celebration was at DBLO on 29th Jan. It was a fun-filling nite with the right crowd. We all had fun to the maximum! Here's the second part of the photos.

She absolutely had no idea what we were planning over there.

My V day pressie!

Here's my V-day pressie from BF!

Ta da! A Fujifilm finepix Z700 with touchscreen feature that was just launched recently. woohooo yeah!! Finally, my own camera that I can bring it anywhere, as and when I like! And he's got my favourite colour, in red!

BF kept the camera inside the car's front seat compartment thinking I would open it up to reach for my sunglasses. In the end I didn't! He must have give up and asked me to pass him the parking coupon and yet I still didn't notice anything inside! I am *cock eye by the way but I can't help it. He wrapped the camera in a translucent plastic that I didn't give it a second glimpse. I couldn't believe it when I held it in my hands, still joke that this looked like a plastic toy to me.

To add on, o
n Sunday morning, he went to buy me KFC breakfast knowing that I love the KFC AM twister! muackz muackz. But dear, got to return me my $10 to prove you are buying for me hor? keke..

My BF can be inept doing the things that aren't deem perfect but I am still going to love him anyway! hugs... I know he is always trying and learning new ropes to make me his blissful GF... and wife-to-be.

I'm sorry I was upset at him and gave him the cold shoulder
for two days. I'm glad things are back to normal now. Couples do quarrel but the most important thing is to learn and understand each other's needs at the end of the day.

I haven't update my blog as often as I did in the past. Sometimes I don't know what I'm busy with but.... give me more time and it's still not enough!

Body Worlds and Sunset Grill

I was at the Body Worlds at Science Centre two weeks ago. I have been wanting to pay a visit to the exhibition to view the human bodies and to gain more knowledge from it. The showcase of real human specimens made with plastination is a significance for science research. As photography is not allowed inside the exhibition, we didn't capture any photos inside but a few from the Science Centre.

Later on, we had our dinner at Sunset @ Singapore Flying club. It's a famous place for buffalo wings with spicy level up to 30! To find this place, you need a bit of luck, patience, research and best, A GPS! But BF did his homework well and we didn't get lost!

The food is abit over-priced and more like a casual dining, don't bother to dress up so nice. What I love is the surroundings around the area. It just feels so serene and I'm so away from the city. There, I see greens and a few jet planes parking at the lots. The fresh air and breathtaking sky gradually turning dark blew me off. It was pretty packed later on of the night and I'm glad I was there early.

I hate the flies that was attacking my food. haha, but overall it was a nice dining experience.

Coming up next, Tyan's birthday post!
