Zento Japanese restaurant

ET has been really kind to lend me his SUICA cards that are use for travel on most railways, subways, and buses in Tokyo.

We met up a few days ago and he came to fetch me from work and we headed to Dempsey Hill for a fabulous dinner at Zento Japanese restaurant serving modern contemporary Japanese cuisines. We chose their five course dinner sets. The food were dressed in great details and freshness except for the main course grilled salmon which was nothing to rave about. I extremely loved the dragon rolls which had a melt-in-the-mouth quality! I'm feeling hungry just by typing this out!

As this restaurant was newly opened, there was not many crowd inside. We were grateful for the undisturbed noise and also the service from the attentive staff. Once again, ET treated me an expensive dinner. Thanks for bringing me there, next will be my treat buddy!

The food photos were taken with ET's camera HP and I will post them when I receive them. (Again, my camera failed me! I forgot to charge my camera's battery.)

These were taken with my camera.

Random

Those who know me pretty well know I rarely flare up easily but when I am, it means this someone drives me crazy to an extent that I can't control my temper anymore! I'm not the kind who likes to blow small matters up but would rather settle them in a peaceful manner than picking a fight. I can be a magnanimous person if you know me well. :)

I'm a girlie girl and loves to dress up for every little occasion, even if it is just a walk in the park. It just perks up my mood and spirit for the day. I love buying clothes and have a whole lot of clothes in my closet which I find reasons to wear before they turn out-of-style. It'll be more of a waste if I never slip into them at all. I do find colleagues asking me why am I dressed up so nicely in office when I'm working in an industrial area. It's puzzling why I'm being asked often so I will pen my thoughts here.

An individual has his/her own style and the most important is to know how to dress accordingly to the occasion. Competence at work does not relate to well-packaged in terms of dress code. But if a customer walks in and see you in a shabby state, what will they think? We all know first impression counts.

I'm in accord with those who experiment what they wear. I have been following Renzze's blog for some time and really impressed that she demonstrates good fashion sense. We shouldn't always be following the usual trend of tees and jeans. There should be room to explore and learn from one another. Take for example, I don't think going to beach is all about wearing surfer shorts only. It can be appropriate as wearing a halter sundress.

By saying all this, I don't intend to create a misconception to anyone out here. Whether it's now or never, it's up to you guys to decide!

Part 2: Eve's wedding

I left Hairloom and Caramel around 7pm to head over to Amara hotel. It was an eye-opener! My colleagues were dressed in their nicest gowns with pretty makeup and hairdo!

I was very shag by the time I got home at 11.30pm as I was still under medication and had to tide over the night socializing with colleagues at the tables. It's not a good idea to pull a long face at any joyous occasion no matter how tired one is.

I leave the photos for you guys to view!

Part 1: Hairloom and Caramel with friends

Have been real tired today that I skipped my routine jog and slept all the way through till dinner. Yesterday was Eve's wedding dinner and after dinner wanted to head down to St James with my colleagues, but decided not to as I'm not fully recovered.

I will just begin the day started off with meeting Wany
u and the group at Caramel and Hairloom cafe. I didn't bring any makeup for touch up so you will notice my makeup was almost fading off in Eve's wedding night which I will post them very soon!

I have been to Caramel and Hairloom for the second time and I'm still in love with this quirky place! The menu changes everyday and you can be sure of the good standard of the desserts! I simply adore them so much!

I realise I have been taking numerous photos this past few weekends. lol

Flu bug

I have caught the flu bug! Started off with sore throat, followed by flu and cough. Yesterday, I was shivering in the office due to the cold air-con. I went to see doc yesterday evening and given medication. Took them after dinner and went bed early.

Anyway, I feel a little brightened up knowing that I'm sic
k two weeks earlier before my trip. At least I can have an ease of mind that I won't get sick again so soon! Despite my illness, I have to make a trip down to the tour agency to make balance payment and to check with them regards to the tour. Today is the deadline to make payment.

As one of my agenda is to catch up with my cousin wh
o has been permanently staying at Osaka, we'll be meeting on the first night and she volunteers to bring us around to Shinsanbashi. Thus, I need to get the firm schedule from the tour agency. I'm looking forward to see her as she used to dote on sister and I, always buying us pretty stuffs when she travelled around. I kinda miss her too and I'm bringing some of her foodie stuffs to her as a token of love and appreciation.

Coming up next! Here's the rest of photos from Tyan's camera.

The waterfall we ordered for the bride-to-be was so tall! It was a nice sight watching the fire spreading from the top to the bottom of the glass! Unfortunately, all the cameras could not capture this.

Eve used her hands to signal us that she was still okay. She is considered a good drinker since not everyone can take waterfall, especially me!

My face started to get more red towards the end of the party. Anyone can guess here I'm not a good drinker after all! >.<

Going to get more rest now for later!

CH's wedding

I attended my colleague's wedding dinner last night and I have to admit the bride looked so stunning in her wedding gown. A plain Jane has turned into a beautiful bride! I almost couldn't recognise her from the wedding photos she took. Lovely!

Here's some of the processed photos which I have woke up early to do this morning.
Just fyi, it was my sister who helped to set my hair. It was a really well-done job and it took almost an hour! Thanks sweetie sis!

Very stunning bride

Last but not least, a group photo of our table 21.

bachelorette party

We held a bachelorette party for Eve yesterday as she is about to get marry next weekend. I have been longing to visit Helipad so when the gals mentioned about going there, I was so excited about it!

The following day, Tyan and I went in search for some props to 'sabotage' the bride-to-be...

Well, Helipad was kinda disappointing, everything was really so different from the website and music sux! The only good thing was, everyone was so eager to sabotage the bride-to-be and that's what made it a memorable night! We ordered white wine, beers and waterfall for her and we were screaming with admiration while the poor bride-to-be finished the waterfall in one shot.

My camera's battery faile
d me when I was in the middle of having fun taking shots, so what I got here are the partial shots from yesterday night. I will get the rest from the gals and post them up in another post.

A group picture of the gals. Missing in the picture was Angel as she came in much later.

First, we put on the crown for the Princess. She loved the beautiful crown we had chosen for her with red as her favourite colour. But she absolutely had no idea what we were planning to do next!

Next prop was the
purple masquerade mask! She was pretty obliging and did what we requested.

And finally, the blue feather shawl! She was a little unwillingly initially but followed suit with our request and posed for the cameras!

We forced her walked around the compound with the crown and feather shawl only so we were actually very lenient with her.

Here's the rest of the photos for the night before my camera signalled me low battery!

I specially liked this photo for the night where we posed like we were bat women protecting the princess!

Off I'm going for another colleague's wedding dinner later! I need to get ready soon!
