Potion 9

Breakfast is the most important meal to start the day.
I had KFC am twister for breakfast this morning, thanks to my colleague for buying my share! But I'm feeling so stuffed that I skipped lunch. Probably will go down to the canteen to buy some snacks later.

Just bought Potion 9 from a salon to style my curls and revitalize my hair, recommended by one of my colleagues. I have tried it this morning, it's neither sticky nor oily. Most importantly it smelled nice, not some kind of chemical smell! But my damage is $85!!!

I have the curling thongs at home so starting from weekends, I can style my hair to whatever curls I desire. As for weekdays, I have to wake up 20mins earlier to wash and style my curls. This is the price I have to pay to look good okay! haha.

I find that it's fundamental to look presentable at work or going out with friends and we should always make an effort to dress up accordingly to the occasion. There's nothing wrong in spending some money to make yourself look good. With so many products in line, women have a higher buying power than men.

Countdown: 7 weeks to my Japan trip!

Ben and Jerry chunk fest

On Saturday, arranged to meet Karen to the Mine's Salon together. She did her hair treatment while I went for digital perm. Gosh! I spent almost 5 hours inside! After she finished her hair treatment, she stayed with me awhile before heading off to work.

Goodness me! My ears can feel the heat and I had to force a smile for the camera.

Karen and me

Hee.. I love my curls. This time, my curls are bigger and loose. I never took any shot of my new perm as time was running out. It was close to dusk by the time I'm done. Rushed off to meet Wanyu and her friends at Marina Bay MRT for the Ben & Jerry chunk fest. I had only small bites along the way which was considered my dinner.

There were many kinds of ice-cream flavours and we each chose a different flavour from the exclusive launch for the chunk fest.

Nice, cooling weather with the company of Ben & Jerry ice-cream!

My perm is a little obvious here in this picture. I'm going for my hair dye in 2 weeks time!

These were the only two great shots that I managed to take after several blur shots! BF was so sweet to come pick me up and even bought my favourite bread from Provence Bakery!

This week had been a fulfilling weekend than most of my other weekends because I cast aside my habit of slugging at home on Sunday. Instead I woke up early in the morning to join my colleagues for roller-blading at ECP! After that, BF fetched me home and I went for a jog. How cool was that?!

I never had my feet on the skates in my whole 27 years and I was fearful initially but I got over my fear after we did a round of balancing on the plain grass. Tyan and me who were still beginners, done our practice at the skating ground while the rest went to skate elsewhere. Time flew fast and 2 hours was just over like that! It seemed I had not enough fun yet, I definitely need more lessons before I'm ready on my own! I'm still on the verge of learning!

This group of colleagues are actually very sporty as you can see from the pictures right?
It's great knowing friends who are into outdoor activities. Either way, both indoor and outdoor activities are enjoyable to arouse my mind and body!

09.09.09

It's a special day to some couples 'cuz it's triple 999! I believe some couples will choose such a date to wed, it's a date easy to remember.

Congrats to those who are getting married on this special day!

To dwell for.. beautiful curls...

I'm hoping to achieve either both of these two looks this coming weekend. I'm pretty nervous of the results. I hope it won't be disappointing like the previous time where I looked like an 'AH SOH' in the market.

New skincare

I have been using Maple clinic's products for almost two years now. Since my outgrowth of acne is already under control, it's time for a switch over skincare products.

There are many comprehensive products and I was in a dilemma for quite a while before I decided on Laneige skincare.

I just purchased their eyes and lip mak
eup remover and multi cleanser that works well as a makeup remover, foam cleansing and micro-scrubbing. 3-in-1 for convenience sake especially for my daily makeup routine! I asked for some samples, will try it to see how's the texture of the cream. I'll probably be back to buy more!

For dinner, we had frog porridge at Geylang. Our car was parked far from those stalls so we had to do some walking. As we aren't sure which stall sells the best, juicy frogs, we looked out for the most crowds and finally settled for the one at Lor 9.

It's been a long time since I had frog porridge!
It's indeed savory. The main concern here was the serving of the frogs were too little. I know I have no problem finishing them up!

Revel in Pleasure

It was my first time going for high-tea buffet and my very first time with accompany of my colleagues!

One of my colleagues actually brought her little princess, Verane along and she is really adorable with her big round eyes. Time flies, she's turning one pretty soon! There seemed to be alot of stairs inside the hotel as each of us took turns to carry the baby pram to make our way to the cafe. Can you imagine the way we handled the baby pram? I can only say we are still inadequate to becoming the baby's nannies yet!

More photos this time round! Can you make a guess who is the mummy of little Verane?

The food was well-presented and it was a wide
spread of small, delightful bites.

Apart from eating and chatting, we were busy shooting as there were four cameras going around taking pictures!

Guess what! We agreed on wearing a dress and each of us had a cute little hair-clip on our hair, a design of a hat and it's a gift bought from Angel in Taipei. I hope you guys noticed it! Even little Verane was putting on one!

Little Verane was busy chewing her snack! Oh, look at those big round eyes!

Desserts, desserts, desserts time! Girls are a sucker for desserts right?

My virgin attempt carrying little Verane, I hope I wasn't too clumsy with her. It's unbelievable if I say I want to have a baby now 'cuz everyone can tell how inexperienced I am right. So if I ever mention that to you, just take it I'm not serious.

Finally, a group picture of the Tai tai wannabes and our little princess! It was an enjoyable afternoon!

Since Far East was just nearby, I went to check out the hair salons and ask for their rates. I wanted to meet BF and his ex-poly mates for dinner after that but I was already too full for anything and my feet started to give way to pain.

Blur Sotong

Today I am a BLUR sotong with a gloomy mood!

I thought I forgot to bring my HP to work just because I did not search my bag thoroughly. Just because I assumed I am having blue Monday. And when I got home, I could not find my HP in my room and was in a panic. I dialled my HP number, with the ringing sound coming from my bag. Only to realise it had been safely hidden in my bag all along! WTH was wrong with me today?
>.<

Going for high-tea buffet at GOODWOOD Park with my colleagues on this coming Friday.
We decided to take leave together to experience one day of being the "Tai Tai Wannabe". The idea came out of the blue when we were discussing in skype which place serves gourmet high-tea cakes and puffs... I have always long of going there to try their high-tea buffet and my colleagues have the same thoughts too.

It's our first time that four of us applied leave to go out together and I'm much looking forward to it!
After this, I seriously need to stop having such delicacies because it's causing a hole in my wallet already!

Lunch treat at NOVUS

It was a very belated birthday treat for ET as he was busy with his exams while I was busy with work and meet-ups. Yesterday, I decided to treat him to NOVUS restaurant.

This restaurant is situated in the hearts of our historical National museum.

When we reached around 1pm, I was surprised there wasn't a soul inside until much later, a Caucasian couple walked in.

The interior has classy decorations and modern fusion ambience while the food has a touch of French and Italian's flavours. It is a nice place for fine dining.

Posh sofa seats

We had our executive lunch sets and the portions were just nice for us.

Here I will just upload one photo of ET as he is camera-shy.

Oh... OotoYa

Took half day leave to accompany BF. He is on leave for two days!

We decided to go Ootoya to eat because I checked
the reviews were all positive. They are very renown in Japan and have many chain outlets. When we reached there, we had to wait for about fifteen minutes for our turn. Surprisingly, this restaurant was crowded with office staff while other restaurants were so empty during lunch hour.

We had a hard time making our selections because every bento set was almost unique and succulent. I finally made my choice after flipping the menu several times. By the way, they served fragrant genmaicha and I was so famished I managed to finish my bento set, even their authentic Japanese rice!

Overall, the dining experience was great and we will definitely come back for more. We have not try the desserts because we are already too full.

After lunch, we walked around the shops in Orchard Central and then to TCC for drinks. Our agenda for today was to discuss ou
r Japan trip. We shortlisted a few hotels after some research done. But no booking made yet as we wanted to wait till the agency confirms our flight arrangement.

We then went searching for our leather jackets. BF bought his leather jacket from Zara at S$179.00. Looked nice on him! I saw one from Pull and Bear. Tried it and looked very stylish but I did not buy as it's still too early to November. There's too many picks for women's jackets these d
ays. Or maybe I was waiting for a sale or something. haha..

Leather jackets look cool, aren't they?

Happy Birthday bro~

I thought it will be nice to blog about last night incident before I leave for the day. hehe. I am on afternoon leave. Yippee!!

Yesterday was bro's birthday and all of us actu
ally forgot to buy him a cake! He came over to my room and asked me if there was a cake for him. I told him no because I already treated him dinner last Friday. Upon hearing this, he looked very disheartened. Then he explained to me that his friends have asked him out but he declined their offer so as to spend his birthday with us. When I heard that, I was guilty but I kept apologising to him that, no cake this time... :(

I quickly dialled my sis's HP for SOS help who was having her supper with her friend. They drove to West Mall and what a relief there was still a cake shop opened during this hour.

While my brother was playing his computer games in sister's room, we secretly lighted the candles and standby our camera. W
e walked into the room and sang "happy birthday" song, he was caught by surprise and looked so stunned! haha. I can see that delighted look on his face.

That ended the night happily.... ^^
