Batam Holiday: 26th and 27th June

Im back from my short holiday! It's the first time spending BF's birthdae overseas!

This batam trip was specially planned to celebrate BF's birthdae. I sponsored this holiday for his birthdae and bought a key ring from Agnes B for BF...

It was a relaxing, short trip for both of us... I am glad we have lotsa fun. The service from the hotel staff were excellent, they were helpful and greeted us with smiles, the massage from H spa was good. Everything was well-planned and we had a line of activites that kept our weekend busy and enjoyable. Anyway, I shall not elaborate too much, let the photos do the talking. Shall wait for BF to finish up with the photos and jot down every details. It won't be too soon because we took over 200 photos.. haha~ We just kept snapping away like nobody business.. haha~

I would recommend friends to the resort I stayed in: Harris resort... Too bad we didn't get to stay in the new wing as some of the rooms are not ready yet. The new wing looked very nice and romantic feeling.. pure white in colour!!

Just a side note, I think I had a bon appétit during the trip. I kept eating and eating which shockingly, my tummy looked abit round and my pants abit tight now. Opps :X

Surprise from Darling

Went shopping with sis and bro. I wasn't feeling too good shortly when we reached there. It could be the humid weather plue the stress from work. I wasn't in tip-top condition to shop. Anyway, I got a cardigan from Mango sales which is my only buy. Around 5pm, went to BF's house as he was on work standby.

Darling was very sweet enough to drop me a lovely surprise! A surprise to cheer me up! It's a bag I was looking at while we were out shopping a few weeks back. Thanks darling :) He told me he had not gave me a surprise for very long, which I think it's true. hehe.~

New Coach added to my bags collection!

I felt unlucky these days. Lowest peak! Work, work, work! Besides work, my computer is giving problems. Very slow and cannot shut down properly... Then my eyes are also giving me problems each time I worn the lens. Recently, I stopped wearing contact lens as I had redness around my eye area and the redness took a few days to recover. Sigh.. Being the vainpot me, I forced myself to wear glasses to work.

Damn it.. UGLY Betty Wendii.

External HDD crashed!

"Memories can never be erase with photographs."

External HDD crashed! All my precious old photos gone! And the crashed HDD was the only lead to my old photos which I naively never kept a copy in my desktop. WTF.... Luckily, Bf has some of my pictures folder in his desktop but it's a pity I would never be able to retrieve the rest. Sobz... Every photograph revealed a different aspect of my life.

I asked my colleagues to help me buy a new HDD as they were at the IT fair yesterday. This time I have carefully chosen a sleek and lightweight model so I would be able to keep it safe, unlike my crashed one, heavy and bulky... My sis has a similar Seagate Freeagent GO model in red so decided to opt for the pink colour instead.

S$109 for 320GB. A good buy!

Oh.. I finished reading Confessions of a Shopaholic! How many months did I take to finish the book? Around 2.5 months.. That's extravagantly long.

Waiting for their confirmation for BF's birthday which happens to fall on school holidays! Hope there are still available slots 'cuz I don't have any backup plan! Bought my Purple-pink bikini set at Sheer Romance yesterday and I loved it to bits. hehe.

Birthday plan revealed!

Darling's birthday is coming in 2 weeks time!!! So excited, hope the plans will go smoothly. wink wink. I want this birthday to be much, much better than last year!!
Anyway he was over at my place last night to fix my external HDD and he accidentally discovered what I planned for his birthday. Why must he be a damper to discover my secret plan? haha. Maybe I will change my plans, or maybe not. Make a guess BF.. lol

Ghosts of girlfriends past
Will be catching this movie at Bishan later. Saw the preview quite romantic and comedy. hehe. Before this, will be doing some shopping at Orchard again. Thinking of getting a new bikini set. :P

I love Wonder girls

I had sleepless nights the past few days until yesterday, I managed to fall into deep sleep after deciding to take doctor's medication. That is the only solution I could think of to make me sleep. Doctor had previously given me a mild medication for relaxation to see if it worked for me. Well, it proved effectively that I immediately fell asleep and couldn't awake this morning! I won't be taking it again unless this is really necessary as I don't want to rely on medication to sleep.

Mood Swings...
My mood wasn't good at work recently. I admit. I know my temper is still controllable than some of my other nasty colleagues. A few times, I tried not to flare up but I really dislike people taking me for granted. I USED to be a said "yes" person. Everything, anything I also said yes. Even if I only have a pair of hands and already busy with my work, I still agree to whatever tasks handover to me.
Then I asked myself: "Being kind to others and yet being miserable to myself?" And now, everything is so clear. I am clear on my stand. I trust myself and I will do what I feel I'm responsible for. Because I'm no wonder girl like what they think. haha

Hairloom & Caramel Cafe: Feels like a 2nd home

I love lazing around on a scorching afternoon.
Especially at such a girlish concept + quaintest furniture + yummy desserts cafe.
Got to know of this place through BF's friend, thanks to Suki.
Saw her nice pictures uploaded in Facebook and my mind was urging me to step in there to peek-a-boo!

Actually we went in recently before. But we were both in a silence argument that we did not order anything and walked out again. The scene was really embarrassing but I felt like I was standing on top of a volcano so I can't be bothered. hehe.

So here we were this afternoon again, at this prettiest cafe, enjoyed life's little pleasures sipping hot lemon tea, enjoying our chocolate cupcake and mango Eskimo topped with ice-cream. Marvellous afternoon!! I will definitely head there for more tea and cakes! Hello? Can we have more of such concepts in Singapore? It will be a hit with gals, like me. lol

Like the name mentioned, they also offer hair services at the other corner. But I checked the prices, not cheap eh.

A HOT weather to describe today that we don't feel like leaving that nice place to hit the stores. We stayed for about an hour before heading Bugis, Raffles City then Marina Square. I really hate beating the crowds during sales period. Made me lose concentration that I can't have time to choose a proper item carefully. So I rather skipped them though prices slashed lower! :( Impulsive buying will end up in a corner I will never wear!
In the end, I managed to get 2 pairs of shoes and a bottom from a sale. Nah, these are not enough. Definitely not for Wendii.

Oh my, I cant wait for the pictures taken with darling's new toy - Canon 500D!!! Dear, quick! quickly send me!!

Recently, I kept having weird dreams. Dreams that are so unrealistic. haha. Laugh my head off.

Frail Memory

I'm starting to have a frail memory of my past activities and becoming more muddle-headed. It's a blessing I have been updating my blog regularly so that I can recalled back the incidents.
My work is getting messier and disorganised. I am trying to juggle between my own work and a pile of unfinished tasks by my "MIA" colleague who didn't report work since end-April.

I just dread changes in my life, especially changes that will affect my mood. Started to feel incompetent in my work. I used to be confident of what I was doing but now, I could feel that I wasn't behaving the same like before. I hope this bad feeling will go away soon. I don't want my mood swings to affect my family, BF, friends and colleagues. Sobz.... I need a holiday badly!

Yesterday evening, had dinner at one of the restaurants in Home Team NS Club @ Bt Batok. It's Dad's treat and it was an expensive dinner. We had a big serving of shark fins soup. I don't really find a need to order but Dad insisted on ordering. I think it's cruel to eat shark fins and some more, it's expensive too. Anyway, dinner was good but I was damn tired cuz I was out the whole day.

I concussed around ten plus last night but still not enough sleep for me! yawn! Wish I could sleep longer. I am a PIG!

Action-packed movies fever!!!

Oosh~ Finally it's out! I can't wait to watch Terminator Salvation and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen! Will be catching this movie Terminator Salvation @ Bishan later. I just knew it's going to be an awesome movie. And BF was very sure this time he got the tickets timing right. Lesson learnt @_@

Many would not believe I like action-packed movies, in fact I really liked them alot. (except kung fu movies) Action-packed movies aren't boring, it gives a massive heart-pumping session. I prefer a little bit of everything (humor, love, emotional) included in action-packed movies.

Things are really packed for me, went settlers' cafe @ SMU for HJ's farewell yesterday evening. Had an awesome time playing games till 10pm. and on Sunday after my church, I will be heading to Expo for the Global Day of Prayer where most Christians will gather there, to worship the Lord, pray for our nation, the world, and repent of our sins. It's my first time attending such an eventful moment and I am pretty excited about this! Call me a dimwit or whatever la.. haha. After that, Dad is giving all a treat at a restaurant. I am still unaware of the location though. So tomorrow I won't get to "or or" in the afternoon liao. Luckily I woke up late this morning. hiak hiak..

Hurray! My air-con is getting fixed today. Finally, I can start to enjoy the air-con after so many months of suffering and days of sleepless nights...

Vv Oh wedding

Vv Oh wedding was held at Holiday Inn Atrium last Saturday. Alot of pictures were taken on that day but decided to post a simple collage of selective pictures.


REAL FEELINGS:
Before the wedding dinner, I sort of got angry with BF. I had jumped into wrong conclusions and mistaken about him. It's our little secret.

I know it's not an excuse but hot weather + lack of sleep do boost up a fiery temper, especially me. Better not to mess with me or you'll get it.

But what touched me was like this...

While we were waiting at the traffic junction, I pulled my hand away from BF's hand and walked another way. I was feeling frustrated/upset/angry but when I turned my head around, BF was just standing behind me. This touched me and melted away my anger... In his heart, he was already upset but he did not walk away. I knew at that moment he wanted to be around for me.

We patched things up after a while.

I personally feel a guy should never walk away from a girl no matter how heated the argument can reach. If a guy walks away without saying a word, I think it is a big mistake to be with him in the first place. I know BF is the man I can trust. I'm so glad he made the choice to follow me :)

After leaving Sungei Buloh, we went to Sembawang Shopping Centre to have our lunch. Had Aston Specialities for lunch. I ordered the black pepper dory fish. So-so only. But BF's steak is nicer than mine. Bought clothes from Cotton on @ and changed into them. I remembered there is dress code to go in Chevrons.

Straight after dinner with BF at Sakae Sushi @ Harborfront centre, BF drove me there to meet my colleagues. I left the place around 12 midnight. U can tell from the pictures how shag I was that night but still, I managed to get "high" with the group. hehe.

And that also explained why I was lethargic the following day... :(

Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve

Not in tip-top condition to blog a long post so shall post more of the pictures for yesterday. Yesterday was a good weather minus the hot heat.. Met the huge monitor lizard, giant spider, squirrel, tree-climbing crab. etc. Scared the wits out of me. haha. But I braved through the nature reserve for 2.5hours. It's a big accomplishment for me!

Lacking Sleep zZZz...

I have been lacking sleep over the weekend. Have been home late on Friday and Saturday, resulting me to sleep late by the time I'm done with FB and then awake early the next morning caused by some disturbance~
Didn't manage to take my usual nap today b'cuz I was back home late.. Sobz. Need to rest early tonight.

BF so engrossed in his singing..

Went K-singing with Des and Rain, sang for 4 hours and I pretty much enjoyed the singing. I have not sing for a long-est time and lost touch with most songs, especially new hits. Luckily, I still remember my favourite songs that I definitely will delicate to myself to sing. hehe
Actually, I would prefer to sing with a small group than with a large group b'cuz I get distracted easily.

After the KTV session ended at 8pm, we headed to the nearby chicken rice stall for dinner. Cheap and good. As usual, I fancy cheap and good food that suits my tastebud when it's always around mid of the month. Why? No money liao lor. haha. Walked over to the Central Starbucks for chilling out. Stayed there for an hour before we called it quits for the night. When I got home, it was already 11pm!

Angels and Demons

Skipped our church session this morning. BF and I were tired from yesterday..
BF and I went to watch Angels and Demons at Bishan. Pretty nice movie because it was filmed in Rome and I really loved those historical architecture. Storyline has something related with catholic beliefs. There was a twist in the storyline and I didn't expect the killings and plot were done by "this someone".. Quite a nice ending!!


Something funny happened today. This morning, Bf bought tickets for the 2.30pm show and he didn't checked the timing of the tickets issued. So happily, we walked into the theatre around 2.25pm and sat in our seats until a group approached us and showed us their tickets to prove we had taken their seats. To clarify matters, we showed our tickets to them too and realised how come we had the same seat numbers! But one immediately pointed out that the timing on our tickets was 11.00am and not 2.30pm! What a shock we had. The ticket counter staff has issued us the wrong timing! We hurridly walked back to the ticket counter and requested for new tickets. Luckily, the staff was nice enough to realise it's their mistake and immediately re-issued us the tickets for 2.30pm. hehe. We heaved a relief that seatings were still available. Did not really want to make a fuss out of a milehole since it's just a small issue. Eventually, we still get to watch the movie. That's what matters.

I just find it funny that BF didn't realised he was holding to the wrong tickets. haha. And the group who approached us were giggling away. Thought we blur blur or what. hehe~

Dim Joy @ Neil road

Dim Sum for dinner...

At Old Hong Kong cafe...

Had dim sum for dinner on Friday after work.
Will probably bring my family there for dim sum one day.. All dishes we ordered were nice though abit pricey.. The manager was also attentive and service was excellent! I liked the presentation of the place and food. Thumbs up~

BF parked his car at Craig Place 4th floor and we took the lift that was pasted under maintenance! Still, we took it without hesitation since it's still operating "normally". Haha.. Gosh, it took ages just to reach 4th floor, we thought the lift would suddenly break down or what. But, luckily it did not and we reached 4th floor safely after "stuck" inside for 5 mins. Trust me, it's not a good idea to get stuck in a lift, not in my life would I want that to happen! haha

Went to Old Hong Kong cafe for our 2nd round of food! We are the hungry couples, haha ^^
