it's a rainy day~

Our itinerary for today was to have an outdoor shot at Sungei Buroh but it rained! So sad :(
No choice lohz, I just met up with BF at Orchard to change $$ at Lucky Plaza. After comparing the rates with several money changers, we managed to find one at a corner that offered good rates. hehe~ I think it's dat one Rain has recommended before.
Hmm, the rate isn't that good as before compared to a few years back.
Exchange rate: S$1.00 = 22.9 baht

After our mission is completed, we started our engine for shopping. I know I shouldn't be buying things since I will be going Bangkok to wipe out their stores but I cant control when I saw many sales around~ lol. In the end, I got myself a dress, top and pants which are nice~ I will be wearing my new top and pants to Bangkok! Yipee~ It's my style to buy at least a new set of clothings whenever im going for a holiday.. I just want to look good in photos :D~ Now, Im all set for next wed~ Heard the news from BF about the Bangkok Rally happening next week! Oh well, we will just be careful. I am sure GOD will look after us too. I have trust in Him.

I am going church tomorrow to pray for our safety.
Going to help BF to wash his Xiao Hei tomorrow. I like it when it's sparkling clean 'cuz it's our efforts!

Last Thurs, treated my godbro to dinner at Hong Kong cafe @ ECP. No special reason for the treat but just felt that he deserved one from me! After dinner, we took a stroll along the ECP and then drove past Geylang for some "eye-catching" stuffs before we called it a day... ~ So exciting lehz to go for a spin at a red light district area.

Yesterday had dinner with my ex-coll, ET @ Esplanade mall. Thanks to him, I just found out at a corner on 2nd level, there is a nice Japanese restaurant Ichiban Boshi that serves spendid executive set dinners at affordable prices and most importantly, they tasted nice! Serving size was generous. After dinner, we sat at Esplanade walk and shared about our stories, our lives.. It's been a long time since I have been caught doing so :)~ I guess when we are busy with our lives, we tend to forget the basic fundamental of lives.

My eye problem arises again! It's the third time that I have visited the same doctor and still, the red thing didn't fully recovered.... :( The doc told me my eye did not recover was due to the haze. I have stopped wearing contact lens. I have put on my glasses everyday. Now I can only wait and pray it will be over soon..

My day started today feeling so tired and lazy with a mild headache that has not recovered from last night.. *yawn* I'll just stay at home today and pack my messy room + a little nap~

Updates from yesterday, 14th Feb...

Had a good Valentine dinner with my bro.. He is lonely. I am lonely. We are both lonely. haha. It just so happened that my bf was on standby, thus the reason why we dated each other. It's been a long time since I went out with my bro and treating him with delicacies.
We simply loved Sushi Tei!! After dinner we watched the movie "slumdog millionaire". Tickets for afternoon was sold out thus we could only manage to get tix for late evening. The storyline was quite interesting and unique with a mixture of comedy and emotional scenes. FYI, the movie was shot in India. There was a scene I could remembered vividly, the bad guy dug out the eyes of an orphan with a spoon so he could go begging in the streets. It made my hairs stand... :S

After the dinner, my sweet bf then picked us up from Vivo and drove us home.~

Early Valentine Special ~ 2009 at 1929

BF and I planned to start our Valentine celebration early as he is on standby on actual day.

He brought me to Ember restaurant for dinner, just located at hotel 1929. As the road was closed for the Thaipusam festival, bf had to park his car further away from the restaurant. And damn it, I wore the wrong heels and the pain was biting on my skin. I had a hard time trying to walk normally. haha. But despite this, the pain was still worth it!

I was impressed by the outlook of the restaurant, its an open concept with glass panels looking out to chinatown streets, layout is simple and nice. A fine bistro restaurant that was located at chinatown. Luckily there wasn't any disturbance of noise or it would have been a turn-off for the night. I hate it when people laughed and giggled so loudly from other tables. It would spoil anyone's Valentine night. For mains, bf ordered the pork belly while I had the truffle seabass by recommendation from the waitress. The seabass was one of the fish I have tried and the best I will remember! Tender and soft.. We also had the soft shell crab and I need to add this: they served really nice sauces!

For dessert, we had the warm chocolate cake with vanilla ice-cream. The molten chocolate was oozing out and melting into our mouths. The food quality did not fail to my expectations. We had a great evening there.

As the night was still young, we decided to pop by Seventh Heaven for some nice ice-cream. It's an "only for adults" ice-cream parlour! They served alcoholic ice-creams and proud to say, I am a great fan of alcoholic stuffs although I am a lousy drinker. =)
The cafe is tucked inside a ulu place at the Marketing Institue of Singapore. It will not be easy to find your way there without any street directory or GPS.

As it was our first time trying out, we opted for the three ice-cream sampling at S$13.80. They came in three different flavours of our choices. Nice place for chats but the place could revamp into something more cozier. I will definitely be there again, this time to try other alcoholic flavours! hehe..

My bf and I have just booked a holiday trip to Bangkok and will be flying next month! We will probably shift our Japan plans till end of the year to catch their autumn season~ I love to see myself in nice winter clothings and nice boots, just like what the online models have been wearing!! haha. We'll see how it goes for this year~ Plans may be amended, any point of time to suit our wallets :)
As I was searching around for some cheap Bkk hotels, I chanced upon Baiyoke boutique hotel and decided on this one. From the pictures, the lobby looks really cool and hip. The deco of the rooms are trendy and colours are vibrant. The price is reasonable too. Hmmm.. Seems like the reviews about this hotel is good. Hope what we see here are what we are getting there. LOL

I'm just tired from the accumulated loss of sleep, stressful days at work and also pressure from co-workers and can't wait to escape to somewhere else to indulge in eating, shopping and massage! Relax, Recharge and Rejuvenate ourselves. hehe.. Something to look forward very soon! It's time to pamper myself...

Well, for certain I am not sure if this is going to be a better year than 2008.~ but whatever it is, I will try to make all my dreams come true.~

Time is running out!

There's still a long list of Xmas gifts that I have yet to buy and its 11 days to Christmas Day!

Sad to say I didn't get my Xmas tree, its out of stock by the time I went down to Jurong Pt! BB was on duty but he sneaked out just to drive me there and also, to carry the tree back. (P.S: BB deserves a nice X'mas gift from me.) What a disappointment! What's left is a 4ft tree which bb said its so small and there's no Xmas mood just by looking at it. Hmpf.. I guess I shall wait for the next Christmas to get a nice, cheap and simple one with lots of beautiful deco.

I gave myself a half day off on Friday to go shopping with Jen. We walked through the individual shops in Bugis and the clothes from moonriver caught our eyes. I bought some clothes and became their member. As it's Xmas promotion, only need to spend $100 to be their member. hehe.. I like their clothes as there's always different designs every week and most importantly, there are only 2 outlets in Singapore!! So it will be a rare chance to spot anyone with the same outfit as me.. Hohoho.. Suppose to shop for Xmas gifts, in the end I'm buying "gifts" for myself.. Now I got myself in deep shit. Time is running out! I need more ideas on what to give plsss~ I'm deprived of ideas, ideas, ideas!!

Feeling less blessed

It seems that things don't take off easily for me. I am starting to feel less blessed than ever and I can't seem to have any answers for myself too. I tell myself, it is probably one of those "blue" days that will take some time for me to recover. One of my blues is cuz of the downturn of current economy. Everyone is fearing that they will be one of those unfortunate to be axed. I wonder if I should go ahead with my plans for next year or?

X'mas is coming. Will everyone have any mood for Xmas?

Recently my sis has been coming home very late, almost 4am and then rushed out after a bath. I don't know what is happening to her. She was either working till wee hours or off to meet her friends. Family never get a chance to see her at all. I sensed something is very wrong but I can't figure it out. I wished she could confide to me, I will try my best to help. But right now, I feel helpless.

He has done alot of research and will be sharing more details of his F&E Japan trip with me when he is back in dec. There will also be numerous homework and research to do. Hope bf and I won't be lazy in our planning. haha

The flea market @ holland V was a good achievement, at least to the extent that both my coll & I made a profit of $100++ on our first attempt. It was tiring, but fun. My friends were down to support us.. and also Joseph & his gf were selling at the flea market too. Hopefully when there is another chance, more of us can join, it will be merry and fun! Thanks bro joseph for the flea market recommendation. hehe

Its horrifying! I'm stressed by the piles of work and constant emails flowing... I can't take it, so I'll declare myself off from work today.. Now, I'll got 2 more months to survive before my colleague is back. If u see my stressed face, dun be stunned. I can't force a great smile for now :(

Flea Market at Holland V

Today I went out early to go shopping with bf. But I didnt easily fancy any clothes like I used to. I guess firstly my signs of aging is showing up and gradually I get tired easily from the walking secondly I have no patience to pop into every shop, lastly I decided to spend my hard-earned $$$ wisely. Probably I guess it's time to spend on certain things worth buying that I know I will keep it even if it's out of fashion. I shall keep reminding myself how much waste I have thrown!

All the past years of impulsive buying has lead to several bags after I packed and scanned through to ensure that I will never touch them again! This is the 2nd time that I joined the flea market and I hope response will be good. I really hope people can help me to clear those clothes. Well, I don't care as I am selling them dirt cheap anyway. I'm sharing the rental fee with one of my colleagues and this will be my first time cooperating with him. Hope we have a blessed weather with many crowds!!
