Fabulous dinner at Weili Hse
Group outings are important. Each outing made us know one another better and learning to adapt to one another's personality. In work, its very difficult to have an understanding of one another's behaviour but when we get down to play, all of us become a different kind. Our foundation is strong and we shall keep up the continuous outings. Thanks to everyone who made every outing unforgettable!!!
Dinner was cooked by Enita on saturday at Weili's hse. She's a great cook I should say. Thanks to her, we got to try her Myanmar dishes... After the dinner, we played indian poker and drank to our hearts' content with the leftover vodka from Weili's BBQ. hehe..
Happy lalalalala~ My birthdae surprise is coming very soon. Im very excited!

Heart-breaking news
My closest colleagues are leaving me very soon... Sob. ~ I have been here barely 1.5 years and many of my closest colleagues have left me.. I had a hard time absorbing this fact... ;(
Adding to my grief, I will be "alone" starting from Nov as my colleague goes for her maternity leave. Maybe by occupying myself with work will I forget about their absence...
Is the ending of year 2008 an prophetic sign to year 2009?
I'm being too emotional here but I just got to pen down my feelings somewhere.

Gone are the days I would complain to them about my work,
Gone are the days they will lend a helping hand whenever I'm in need,
Gone are the days they cheer me up with their witty jokes.
Gone are those days.
I miss them.

I have been a good gal today! Cuz I promised my bf that I will stop spreeing for the weekend and I passed my vow!! I deliberately met up with my gal, HL at BPP cuz i knew there is basically NOTHING to shop there. We had long talks (as usual) and almost forgot the time to be back home for dinner. Passed her the souvenirs that I bought from Cambodia. I knew she loved collecting keychains and there it went, a nice one for her and a pouch. I felt so shiok meeting up with the peeps once awhile.. Next, Jen.. and hopefully a dinner with Nicole & the rest. Upcoming wedding dinner from one of the Jie meis on Tuesday and soon I'll get to see the lovely gals again. We all get to dress up pretty & cam whoring again! haha.~
I am blinking with love lately. Everyone has been so nice to me =)
The last wednesday (01.10.08) was our family day. The weather was soo fine. We had a great time strengthening our ties. We took many pictures and now, I am uploading some up!

Cambodia 11th ~ 15th Sept
I am back. It was more than just a holiday. I witnessed the lives of Khmer people. I kept in close contact with Khmer children. Never did I dream there was a chance for experiencing all these. I am glad we all chose to go to Cambodia. I am glad that I brought my bro along as I can feel he enjoyed himself. So do the rest. Thanks pastor, Jacob for bringing us around during the whole of the trip.
Thanks for making my life valuable. To understand and experience the poor lives of Khmer people. Sympathize with the children that they had no education. Well, enough saying, I shall start on our journey from the first day...
First day - We took the flight 3K599 and reached Phnom Penh airport at 0900hrs (Cambodia time). Jacob came to fetch us from the airport to his semi-d house. We went to Russian Mkt for our early lunch and then shopping. It was pretty warm inside the mkt and was pespiring throughout. I didn't fancy anything there. We visited the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum (also known as S-21) A former school that was converted into Cambodia's most important prison in 1975. It has alot of disturbing photos and skulls that reminds all of the horrific history.
Second day - Jacob drove us to Central Mkt, we spent alot of time there, buying clothes and souvenirs for families & friends. We went to a shopping mall (with air-con) for shopping. We had swensens. Can't imagine there is Swensens there. Visited Jacob's small factory that stores all the children clothes and quilts hand-made by the Cambodians. Nice designs, next time will buy some from them. Jacob brought us to try the ice-cream in coconut. Very unique. We had dinner at a nice restaurant. The food was wonderful. Jacob recommended the package " Khmer Village Homestay" and helped us to book.
Third day - Jacob drove us to meet the driver where we took the private car for 2.5 hours to Barray Village. Unpacked our stuff and had their home-cooked food. Took the horse ride and visited Barray Village. Took many pics of the Khmer kids. They are so cheerful and cute. Went to view the livestock, cloth making and noodle making. After that we went back to our homestay village & then took the ox ride to rice fields.. Haha.. It was fun.. At nite, there was khmer dance and we sabooed my bro to dance with the children. Lights off very early. I couldnt sleep as there was insects orchestra going on. haha..
Fourth day - Woke up very early at 7am for breakfast followed by taking sampan to fishing villages. The boat was shaky and I was abit timid.. haha. Over there, the people are poorer juz by looking at their living conditions. Everyone welcomed us. We gave out snacks & clothing to the kids and they were overjoyed. It touched my heart that they could be so easily contented. It was time to bid goodbye by noon. Our driver picked us up at 1pm & journey back to Phnom Penh for 2.5hours. Halfway, it was raining heavily and the streets were flooded. We went back to Central Mkt to get more souvenirs and then a shopping mall for dinner. Tried their fast food restaurant.. Nice chicken.. Yummy. My bf & bro ate 3 pieces of chicken and a hotdog bun.. Broke record!!
* I felt sick a few days before my trip but I soon recovered upon reaching Cambodia. It was a blessing!

I could never believe I had the $ to splurge on a S$500 dental bill. And I just did. Haiz. There goes my coach desire.. :( Luckily Eileen didn't manage to get the bag for me as after few thoughts I still decided to get back the previous design.
Broke once again~
Last saturday, went to Old Town White coffee at Upper Bt timah Rd for high-tea, then went to Takakashimaya to buy mooncakes for bb's family. As usual, we chose the bakerzin brand, same as last year. hehe. After that we had dinner at Villa Bali where we ordered a Special Thai platter for two... That sinful plate of oily stuff caused me to have a bad sore throat day after~ and subsequently followed by flu... ARGHHH! How could i fall sick when I was about to go for my holiday?? Anyway, I went to see doc last night, hopefully tomorrow I will fully recovered.
Tomorrow im flying with my bf, his sis & my bro to cambodia! Mixed feelings within me, I am not sure if my flu will subside and if it will be a pleasant holiday...

KTV - Sang to our hearts' content!
It was a great saturday for us especially when we have not been spending enough time with each other for the last 2 weekends due to work commitment. We sang to our hearts' content at Oriental Partyworld, non-stop for 4 hours where I managed to sing all my fav songs!! We were fooling in the room like some childish kids. haha! That's what made the day enjoyable. After which we settled our dinner at chinatown for claypot fish soup. Then headed down to cityhall to find my coach bag. This time I hope Eileen brings back my fav brand from USA! We sat at the Gloria Jeans coffee for some drinks before heading home.. Along the way walking to suntec city, it was packed with people carrying lots of purchases from the Comax fair.. Hmmm.. I wondered is it really that cheap?
Cool.... next month I will be flying off to Cambodia with my younger bro, my bf & his sis!! haha! i reckon it will be fun and a fruitful experience for all of us! I sponsored my bro's air tix as a gift for his birthdae. Im sure he will be very excited as it's his first time taking plane.. Hope he won't get nightmares on the night before we fly :)

Last weekend, i watched the fireworks. Very nice as they "popped" right in front of my face. The view was so spectacular that I have no time for photo & video-taking... hahaha. Too bad weather wasn't good as it was drizzling. Too bad HL couldn't make it so I had to ask a guy colleague along. Well, in return i got a free ride back home :)
My sis told me that she is going Japan in Oct with her colleagues. so *envy*. She has got a good deal from her company corporate plan. And now she is going before me! NVM, I have a long list of items to ask her buy from Tokyo! cosmetics, skincare & bag from blue label!!! yipee..... I am so excited for her although its not me going :P
Wonder when will my wish come true? blink blink. I need to struggle to save up.

There was so much catching up with my best pal - Eileen! We met at Causeway Point this afternoon as I have requested her to help me buy Kose products during her trip to Tokyo last month. Heard that she 's been selected for Jade Springs Phrase 2 and very soon she will be going down for her flat selection. Really happy for her and best of all, we will be neighbours in 3 years time! How time flies.... Both of us have found our love partners!
It was hilarious in my sweet-pink long gown walking around Tangs giving out perfume samples and apples at 2nd level. haha~ Still, I enjoyed the 3 days event. It was an easy job except the fact that age is catching up and I cant stand too long with my high heels :(
And I'll never fail to snap a picture of myself in whatever place I'll be. B-)

*+ Malacca Heritage Tour +*
Short holidays can be fun too!!!
Despite a 2D1N short trip and 5 hours of coach ride to and fro, I still enjoyed myself very much. It was a fruitful trip as I learnt about the historical state of Malacca. The first day, I saw alot of heritage architecture that I never had the chance to appreciate so far during my other holidays. (You see, I was too engrossed with shopping in the past.) The imprints of British, Dutch and Portuguese forces left behind in forts, museums, churches and towers made me appreciate this cultural history more. =)
I am impressed with all the photos. We are blessed with a good weather to take such nice photos. Thank God for this fine weather. =)
Photos uploading very soon.... Do stay tuned!!

Today is 08.08.08 Huat ah!!!
My company has purchased 60 tickets to watch NDP fireworks on 23rd Aug 2008. I heard each ticket is priced at $18. Anyway, my manager sent out an email to everyone that those who are interested in the tickets, can collect from him at his office. I didn't notice the email immediately so I was puzzled when gals from diff dept were running to his office! Haha....I only knew it after I saw one colleague holding two tickets happily.. I also ran to his office to make sure the tickets were still available for myself. I was the lucky 30 people who managed to get the tickets.... Within less than 10 mins, all tickets were distributed out. I can see disppointment on some faces. Well, too bad I got to give up the tickets as I realised my bf is on standby and Im planning to celebrate my bro's birthdae that day!!!
Anyone interested in these two tickets can contact me. I'm giving them free of course. First come first serve basis. =)

Fragrance event coming up

I will be helping a friend (from marketing team) to help promote the new launch of Nina Ricci fragrance " Pretty Nina" from next fri till sun.. I will be dress in their sweetest pink dress. The look is suppose to be of a princess image.. I dunno how I am going to doll myself up. just keep it simple bah :) I just wonder how things will be since the last time I worked as a sales promoter was about 5 years ago??
When my friend approached me that day, I immediately agreed to it! Incredible! Want to recap how it feels like to be at the sales floor with those "young" staff again. (though I am not that old lah) I hope I can stand the hours standing with my high heels :( It's definitely not about earning the money but its all about retrieving that experience again. Somehow I just missed those days when I was working at Fasio :) On the other side of my heart, I still feel like I am still young at heart. Hahaha...~
Some interesting facts about the new fragrance from Nina Ricci:
New edition Nina Ricci named Pretty Nina will become available in 2008, the spring limited edition. “Pretty Nina” is modern new fairy tale of Nina fragrance with a romantic touch, girlie and flowery-fruit games of seduction....
+ smell it with your heart! +

A beautiful baby gal Glennyis is born.
Appreciate the little effort of bf to drive HL and me to Nicole's house for celebration of her baby's full month... After dropping us at Tiong Bahru, bf went home to take his nap so that he can rejuvenate his energy to continue his program with his uni friends in the late evening.
After the celebration, HL & me went to far east plaza. We sat at the fast food cafe for almost 2.5hrs, updating about our lives. It's a great feeling of knowing how far we have been doing, especially from someone who meant alot to me... This gal of mine is going to be busier since she started her degree class. It will be pretty hard for us to meet up often. Nevertheless, we promise each other to fork out time for each other!
After our chat, we went for our shopping. Cool.. As usual the first shop I stepped in, I bought a pair of sneakers and mini shorts meant for my upcoming Malacca trip! My shopping habit remains unchanged. lol.
I have further ordered more online clothes this weekend. The clothes should arrive to SG before end of Aug.. I love surprises when I unwrap the packages... I'm so excited with the wait! hehehe
