Our last pak tor anniversary at Dozo

I suggested to BF that I wanted to return to Dozo for our anniversary and he brought me there for dinner. He highlighted to the staff that the reservation was meant to celebrate our anniversary and on that special day, the staff planted a simple surprise for us. The waiter, named Fernandez who served us said I looked familar and after engaging in a few conversations, we all realised he was in the same school with my sister and he knew her.

This is our last year to celebrate our pak tor anniversary, Up next, we shall celebrate our wedding anniversary. I don't think it's necessary to celebrate two anniversaries since we are going to upgrade to Mr & Mrs. Save money for my darling too. So thoughtful. hehe

Anyway, here are the photos... Pls do enjoy them and the food. If you want to please your girlfriends or boyfriends, pls bring them there. They surely will like this place, I promise. (:

A private corner by the window but no nice scenery outside.

Fernandez willingly took pic for us and even wanted us to kiss in front of him. Blushing liao..

I love this pic that showed my sexy back and that confident look. :P

Exciting Rabbit year

It's gonna be an exciting Rabbit year for BF and me as we will undergo several changes and decisions making. Counting the days, it's 81 days closer to my wedding and soon after, I can't believe I will be known as 'Mrs Lie'. Awww, how's that feeling like I wonder.

Things are running smoothly and accordingly as planned. Most of the stuffs have been finalised except booking caterer, confirm guests list, order of service for church.. We will have a sisters' meeting on 5th March for gatecrashing plans. hehe.. So looking forward to it! Chosen Tea Cosy @ Plaza Sing for our meeting session.

Last Friday was at T Dragon around noon to choose our design for M hotel wedding card. We set our eyes on a floral design card with wordings " 嫁" or "取" to fold on the card. Glad we made a 2nd trip down as the first time we went was on a weekend and it was so crowded the service was lacking. We also didn't get to see the card we have chosen though it's placed on the first page of the sample album. We asked the lady if the card design is the latest and we could have missed out but she said all along was inside the album. That's really puzzling us. But despite all these, the experienced lady served us pretty well. Less crowd = good service!

We have also placed order for our wedding favours from http://www.sgweddingfavors.com/. They have many wide choices to choose from and we wanted something practical for our guests. In the end, we decided on different flavours of jam and also included a personalised sticker to stick on every jam. The service wasn't that fantastic from the testimonials on the website though. They were slow in replying and I made several calls to them to confirm that they received my email.

My keys will also be ready this April but shall wait till my wedding is over before I start scouting for contractor/ ID.

This will also be the time which I will tender my resignation and find a job nearer to my new house.

Sorry, it's a long post and I haven't been up to load my anniversary, family lunch and Valentine's photos. Hopefully, can finish them this weekend and upload in FB! Cheers!

Countdown: 3.5 months to go!

Time is really moving fast.. Still remember vividly a year ago, BF and I were checking out the banquet venues and contemplating which ballroom fits our criteria and we saw M Hotel. We confirmed our venue after meeting up with Evangeline, our hotel coordinator. She was very sweet and even explained to us the extra perks we will get if we sign the package during the wedding show which was at that point, held one month later. On 28th Feb'10, we happily paid the deposit at BOWS. This was the beginning of starting our lives together where discussion, planning and decision-making took place.

And now, it's already 3.5 months more to go to our wedding! Seriously, I haven't been working too hard for my themed wedding except browsing through photos and picking bits and pieces of people's ideas. There are many more couples out there who really took effort in planning a lavish themed wedding where huge amount of cash were spent on! However, I know I have a budget to keep (though I have been expanding my budget on certain days) so I told myself, I will be a DIY bride! I have not started on my DIY project, maybe I should start after CNY. Otherwise, time is really running out. hee hee...

This was taken during my bridal shoot while taking a short break.

This was taken while we were all getting ready to go out for our outdoor shoot. The balloons looked like m&m sweets right?

Unforgettable Moments

Haven't been updating for quite a while, I hope you readers are not abandoning this blog anymore! Most of my time has been busy scouting ideas for THE WEDDING.
Just a quick recap of the last few months, always had something to do with rainy days. haha :p
  • Taiwan trip - 19th to 27th Oct with dear
It was a fruitful trip as we get to stay with the Taiwanese family in their minsu. We had fun despite the torrential rain on some days. I know Taiwan is the place I will love going to!
  • Oh!dear photoshoot on 7th Nov.
We postponed our shoot twice 'cuz of the rain. Luckily, sweet Melody was very accomodating and she made time for our shoot. Thanks!
  • Bridal photoshoot on 30th Nov (postponed).
We postponed our shoot as we are not mentally well-prepared. I can't explain exactly how the feeling is like but it seems we just don't know the concept we wanted in our shoot. :) Glad we postponed it to Jan as it was having a heavy downpour that day, OMG!
  • My 29th birthday celebrations.
Really elated to have friends and colleagues celebrating my birthday. Thank you Tyan mei who has been taking care of me like I'm her big sister, always extending her big help and gave me a good surprise. Wonderful! We had a cupcakes and balloon party at Des & Rain's house for our double celebration. It was a mini affair but enjoyed the kick of a good meal. It's also the first time Bunnie and Fel celebrated my birthday, nice knowing them. And to my BF who never fails to bring me to special places to take nice photos! haha. I always love a good meal at quirky cafes, sharing a drink and cake together with long chit-chat sessions. That's simple life pleasures.
  • Christmas and New Year's eve celebrations.
I bought more gifts than last year for my colleagues and friends 'cuz I made more friends! We had nice gift exchanges. Also met up with coco and Ah Xiong for gathering, an annual gathering lol. For the next Christmas, hope I can invite all my friends to my house and have a good time. The best gift of the year? KS bag!
  • Bridal photoshoot on 7th Jan 11
I went for fitting and trial make-up on 3rd Jan, brought a bridal magazine which Eileen gave me for the makeup artist to see so she will have a rough idea the style I like. On 7th Jan, dear and I got ready for our photoshoot. Pretty nervous initially but things started rolling well when the bridal crew chatted with us. Rain took leave to come and help us in the afternoon. Things were really turning out good. Weather was fine, it did not rain at all! We have a fun photoshoot as the photographer was a joker. I also brought my DIY cutouts to use for the shoot and it turned out very pretty! We couldn't keep smiling and frankly speaking, I enjoy photoshooting. lol. We treated Rain to dinner at Watami after that.
  • Bridal selects on 21st Jan 11
We had to choose from over 200 plus photos ,took us 5 hrs inclusive negotiating! Rain was with us during our selection. Most of the photos turned out well, didn't expect the photographer to do a good job. We have to eliminate a few good ones if not, we had to pay more. In the end, we topped up with $800 for extra photos. it was ouch! in the pocket but they were really nice taken. I just can't wait to show them off to my guests! =)
  • Wedding invite on 22nd Jan 11
Dear and I went to T Dragon to choose our wedding invite, but since we do not have the no of guests invited so we decided to submit our order after CNY.

Next up, Meetup with Bunnie on our church design and on 6th March will be the day we will see the layout of our album! :)

Priceless memories

Omg, I know this is a very belated post ever since my last update. I have been catching up with friends, doing Christmas shopping and more...

I had a bet with my BF that I promise NOT to surf Facebook for one week! I know this bet may sound kiddy but I'm really obessed with Facebook and I admit it. So I really want to adjust my lifestyle again and spend more time in other useful areas. hehe

Here are some of my selects from the shoot we had on 7th Nov with Melody. There are so many I like and it's really hard to choose from these photos. Nevertheless, I picked some for showcase. lol. Some of these photos will be printed and hang on a love tree to showcase on our wedding day that is part of our DIY wedding project. We will have to start our project next mth!

Venue 1: abandon railway track at Sunset way

Venue 2: Commonwealth railway track

Taiwan trip - To be continue

I'm back from my adventure! Had great experiences and mishaps during our trip but still, enjoyed myself to the max! We survived carrying loots while walking long miles, pulling our luggages through the rain, getting our way around etc.. These are the kind of experiences you are bound to get when doing a free and easy trip. I learnt alot through our journeys and if I do have the time, I will share them in my blog. :)

The deadly torrential rain on 22nd Oct happened during our trip has made our family members and friends worry abt our safety. But thank god, our prayers have been answered by God and we were lead to our destination safely. :)

We have been watching the news closely and were saddened by the fact of those who lost their lives and some were found missing of taking the fateful road that caused landslides.

Picture of my Ah Fat dear! hahaha~ Getting ready our gear for our photoshoot this Friday!

To be continue...

What was I doing on this month one year back

Didn't expect BF to tell me that he wants to buy the cap and suspenders for the shoot. We bought them at Bugis village on Sunday after our church service. haha. Initially, he was so against it when I suggested to him.. now he gave in 'cuz I keep pestering him to wear...

So let's look forward to our shoot on 5th Nov. Hope weather will be fine and cooling. Dun want to sweat so much cuz we won't look good in front of camera.

What was I doing on this month one year back?

I read through my blog and missed those days where I was closer with my colleagues. We went to Helipad, wedding dinners in Oct and had so much fun.
We used to have so much merry and laughter together.. I missed those company. Some have left the company to pursue a better future. Things seem to change. Atmosphere is gone :(

Now with the SAP launching soon, everyone is stressed and tire out, including me. I have to take over some of the work as my colleague is fully-occupied with SAP. Next week is the beginning of the SAP training and happened that I am out of town. Don't know why each time I want to go holiday, always crash with something unforseen. I want to go "with a no worries" heart but I guess when I return, everything must have turned upside down. Can't imagine how it will become. Scary.

I haven't really start on my SAP training and will be lagging behind when I'm back.. oh dear.... feeling so emo and no mood to work.. :( Hope this feeling will bypass soon!

Our adventure at Universal Studios

Sister won four free tickets to Universal Studios through her company contest, therefore we only paid for one ticket and made it a little birthday treat for brother's birthday. :)

Some photos for sharing the fun we had last month.. More can be found in my Facebook!

BF and bro happened to wear green on Hari Raya's day! haha so funny!

We brought the gingerbread man back home. He's so irresistable that we decided to bring him for our Ohdear Photoshoot too. heh :P

Red Star and Egg3 cafe

Food blog...

For those who share similar interests; enjoy the art of food, ambience, and cam-whoring like I do, pls continue reading..

Forget any unhappiness at work, forget any problems I face, just enjoy my leave and go on a food spree! :D

First on a morning, we had tim sum at Red Star.. Not crowded on a weekday which is one of the reasons why I love taking leave on weekdays. Food is so-so, serve traditionally with staff pushing the push carts of dishes around tables, it gives one a nostalgic feeling of being in an authentic yum cha house. I do remembered years back, I came here on a weekend and the queue was devastating long.

Reviews said we must try the char siew bao and we did after 20mins of wait for it to be ready. Really popular huh that it's wiped out, indeed good :)

Next, we did our shopping at Bugis village, the privilege of shopping on weekdays, no crowd! I bought a retro sling bag which I like it alot and BF got his bermudas. :P

After we are done, we headed to Egg3 cafe! Yes, again within a month cuz we both love the place as it's the best quiet place to discuss our Taiwan trip and mingle around here without worrying how long we can stay and being chase out! They sell lovely stuffs for decorating your house and I wish I own some of them. One of the fav hangouts I would strongly recommend! It just feel like home. One day I would love to bring my favourite friends to this place someday 'cuz I'm absolutely sure they will like it! 0.O

Now I'm just wondering, will I get to doll up my little space like this in my new house? :)

What we had: lava cake with vanilla ice-cream, french fries and drinks lemongrass ginger tea and rootbeer.

Later in the late evening, met up with Des and Rain and we headed to Chomp Chomp for dinner. We had stingray, BBQ wings, satay and Hokkien mee. So many delicacies in a day and I really need to find time to exercise. But thanks goodness, I can eat without worrying how much weight I'll put 'cuz it's so diffcult for me to put on weight. =)

Wedding fitting

It's been some time since my last two fittings. I'm not allow to take photos at the bridal studio so I had to smuggle my HP into the fitting room secretly and snapped them while I had to hold on to my gown cuz the gown was unzipped.

Here are the blurry shots taken in a rush, pls excuse my stiff pose too! I have to shortlist five pieces for my indoor and outdoor photoshoot. But some of the photos you see here are not what I have chosen.

My wedding photoshoot will be on my birthday. Hope God will give us a good weather on this special day. ^^

Personally I prefer the 1st, 2nd and 5th gown. Let me explain why.

All along, I wanted a mermaid gown as one of my choices. Slim people will suit mermaid cut the most, especially those with small butt. Me loh!

FYI, the gown is not exactly what you see here. The actual gown comes with black roses which wasn't attach to the gown while I took the pic and of cuz, alternation needs to be done at the butt area. I was planning to wear a huge black hairpiece with black gloves to match the mermaid gown to give a dramatic effect. Will check with the designer if suitable :)

Next piece is the latest collection for AD gowns for this year which has a tulip cut. It may not be the latest by next yr May but still I like the design with the bubbly effect. I noticed the manequin wearing it during my 2nd visit so I asked Sia to let me try. The first reaction my sister and HL gave was "Wow, finally I looked so much like a princess!"

I like to wear something casual and funky so I picked this ballerina dress. This way, I can pose in whatever kind of poses I want! hehe. But I need to get a nice pair of heels to match this outfit.

Counting down...

2 weeks to my taiwan holiday with BF;

1 month to Ohdear photoshoot;

1.5 months to my wedding photoshoot;

And... 7 months to my actual wedding!
