Priceless memories

Omg, I know this is a very belated post ever since my last update. I have been catching up with friends, doing Christmas shopping and more...

I had a bet with my BF that I promise NOT to surf Facebook for one week! I know this bet may sound kiddy but I'm really obessed with Facebook and I admit it. So I really want to adjust my lifestyle again and spend more time in other useful areas. hehe

Here are some of my selects from the shoot we had on 7th Nov with Melody. There are so many I like and it's really hard to choose from these photos. Nevertheless, I picked some for showcase. lol. Some of these photos will be printed and hang on a love tree to showcase on our wedding day that is part of our DIY wedding project. We will have to start our project next mth!

Venue 1: abandon railway track at Sunset way

Venue 2: Commonwealth railway track

Taiwan trip - To be continue

I'm back from my adventure! Had great experiences and mishaps during our trip but still, enjoyed myself to the max! We survived carrying loots while walking long miles, pulling our luggages through the rain, getting our way around etc.. These are the kind of experiences you are bound to get when doing a free and easy trip. I learnt alot through our journeys and if I do have the time, I will share them in my blog. :)

The deadly torrential rain on 22nd Oct happened during our trip has made our family members and friends worry abt our safety. But thank god, our prayers have been answered by God and we were lead to our destination safely. :)

We have been watching the news closely and were saddened by the fact of those who lost their lives and some were found missing of taking the fateful road that caused landslides.

Picture of my Ah Fat dear! hahaha~ Getting ready our gear for our photoshoot this Friday!

To be continue...

What was I doing on this month one year back

Didn't expect BF to tell me that he wants to buy the cap and suspenders for the shoot. We bought them at Bugis village on Sunday after our church service. haha. Initially, he was so against it when I suggested to him.. now he gave in 'cuz I keep pestering him to wear...

So let's look forward to our shoot on 5th Nov. Hope weather will be fine and cooling. Dun want to sweat so much cuz we won't look good in front of camera.

What was I doing on this month one year back?

I read through my blog and missed those days where I was closer with my colleagues. We went to Helipad, wedding dinners in Oct and had so much fun.
We used to have so much merry and laughter together.. I missed those company. Some have left the company to pursue a better future. Things seem to change. Atmosphere is gone :(

Now with the SAP launching soon, everyone is stressed and tire out, including me. I have to take over some of the work as my colleague is fully-occupied with SAP. Next week is the beginning of the SAP training and happened that I am out of town. Don't know why each time I want to go holiday, always crash with something unforseen. I want to go "with a no worries" heart but I guess when I return, everything must have turned upside down. Can't imagine how it will become. Scary.

I haven't really start on my SAP training and will be lagging behind when I'm back.. oh dear.... feeling so emo and no mood to work.. :( Hope this feeling will bypass soon!

Our adventure at Universal Studios

Sister won four free tickets to Universal Studios through her company contest, therefore we only paid for one ticket and made it a little birthday treat for brother's birthday. :)

Some photos for sharing the fun we had last month.. More can be found in my Facebook!

BF and bro happened to wear green on Hari Raya's day! haha so funny!

We brought the gingerbread man back home. He's so irresistable that we decided to bring him for our Ohdear Photoshoot too. heh :P

Red Star and Egg3 cafe

Food blog...

For those who share similar interests; enjoy the art of food, ambience, and cam-whoring like I do, pls continue reading..

Forget any unhappiness at work, forget any problems I face, just enjoy my leave and go on a food spree! :D

First on a morning, we had tim sum at Red Star.. Not crowded on a weekday which is one of the reasons why I love taking leave on weekdays. Food is so-so, serve traditionally with staff pushing the push carts of dishes around tables, it gives one a nostalgic feeling of being in an authentic yum cha house. I do remembered years back, I came here on a weekend and the queue was devastating long.

Reviews said we must try the char siew bao and we did after 20mins of wait for it to be ready. Really popular huh that it's wiped out, indeed good :)

Next, we did our shopping at Bugis village, the privilege of shopping on weekdays, no crowd! I bought a retro sling bag which I like it alot and BF got his bermudas. :P

After we are done, we headed to Egg3 cafe! Yes, again within a month cuz we both love the place as it's the best quiet place to discuss our Taiwan trip and mingle around here without worrying how long we can stay and being chase out! They sell lovely stuffs for decorating your house and I wish I own some of them. One of the fav hangouts I would strongly recommend! It just feel like home. One day I would love to bring my favourite friends to this place someday 'cuz I'm absolutely sure they will like it! 0.O

Now I'm just wondering, will I get to doll up my little space like this in my new house? :)

What we had: lava cake with vanilla ice-cream, french fries and drinks lemongrass ginger tea and rootbeer.

Later in the late evening, met up with Des and Rain and we headed to Chomp Chomp for dinner. We had stingray, BBQ wings, satay and Hokkien mee. So many delicacies in a day and I really need to find time to exercise. But thanks goodness, I can eat without worrying how much weight I'll put 'cuz it's so diffcult for me to put on weight. =)

Wedding fitting

It's been some time since my last two fittings. I'm not allow to take photos at the bridal studio so I had to smuggle my HP into the fitting room secretly and snapped them while I had to hold on to my gown cuz the gown was unzipped.

Here are the blurry shots taken in a rush, pls excuse my stiff pose too! I have to shortlist five pieces for my indoor and outdoor photoshoot. But some of the photos you see here are not what I have chosen.

My wedding photoshoot will be on my birthday. Hope God will give us a good weather on this special day. ^^

Personally I prefer the 1st, 2nd and 5th gown. Let me explain why.

All along, I wanted a mermaid gown as one of my choices. Slim people will suit mermaid cut the most, especially those with small butt. Me loh!

FYI, the gown is not exactly what you see here. The actual gown comes with black roses which wasn't attach to the gown while I took the pic and of cuz, alternation needs to be done at the butt area. I was planning to wear a huge black hairpiece with black gloves to match the mermaid gown to give a dramatic effect. Will check with the designer if suitable :)

Next piece is the latest collection for AD gowns for this year which has a tulip cut. It may not be the latest by next yr May but still I like the design with the bubbly effect. I noticed the manequin wearing it during my 2nd visit so I asked Sia to let me try. The first reaction my sister and HL gave was "Wow, finally I looked so much like a princess!"

I like to wear something casual and funky so I picked this ballerina dress. This way, I can pose in whatever kind of poses I want! hehe. But I need to get a nice pair of heels to match this outfit.

Counting down...

2 weeks to my taiwan holiday with BF;

1 month to Ohdear photoshoot;

1.5 months to my wedding photoshoot;

And... 7 months to my actual wedding!

Ohdear! photography

Mulling over the three outfits to wear for my upcoming Ohdear! Photography - Natural Vintage engagement shoots in Nov which I had signed up three months back! It's gonna be a vintage and casual shoot so all I want is to wear something comfortable for me to pose with! I intend to wear something different, something unusual but I need a little push of courage to do it... so let's see if I can get nice stuff from Taipei. Taipei here we come in 3 more weeks! :)

A few months ago, I came across this fashion community: Chictopia where people all over the world dress to chic and post their shots. All sorts of styles can be found here. If you need some inspiration on dressing up, be inspired by the fashion divas here. Of course there were some who made fashion statement a disaster!

I'm still thinking if i should wear ruffle ankle socks paired with a pair of heels. It seems to be in trend now. That used to be my childhood love! Was it yours too?

Some looks here that I'm intending to explore. :)

What a nightmare to be sick

I woke up around 3am in cold sweat with my stomach feeling discomfort. I couldn't figure out what was wrong so I struggled to get back to sleep only to find myself throwing up half an hour later. Around 5 am, I vomitted twice again. Yucks!

This time, I felt myself nauseaous and weaker all over. Went to see the doc around 9 plus and queued for almost an hour. It was a terrible waiting time and the last thing on my mind was to hit the sack. Doctor said maybe the buffet food I had previous night was unclean or I ate too full and I was given 2 days mc.. It puzzled me, the buffet I had was at TMC's anniversary dinner but the rest who ate the food were okay, except me. :(

I do not have such problems in the past. It occurs to me that I am getting old and needs to watch my diet. I just hope that such occurances will not happen during my TW trip! ^.^
