28th Birthday celebration Part I
Riders Cafe @ Bukit Timah Saddle Club
Bf picked me up early in the morning to the first venue of my birthday celebration. Our early day started having brunch at Riders cafe. Nothing beats having a marvellous brunch to start off our day. Riders cafe spoils us by having a wide selection of brunches to choose from and I can see the riders breakfast @ S$13 is a big hit.
This cafe is situated in a tranquil and serene environment amidst the lush greeneries. You would be surprised that such a place exists in Singapore. We saw a few horses while finding a parking lot. But didn't had a chance to take photo with those horses and I wish I could ride on it. haha. I will surely come again for my brunch! I love greenish scenery!
Here are the photos but it's only 1st half for the day as my birthday celebration doesn't end that fast. keke.
28th Birthday celebration Part II
Desire at The Scarlet hotel
Our next venue was to Orchard to get my proposal ring altered as it was too big and always slipping off from my finger. Bf did a little shopping and bought a pair of Pedro working shoes and I sighed as I didn't manage to get any Christmas gifts for friends and myself.
We had our romantic dinner at Desire which is voted one of Wine and Dine Singapore’s Top Restaurant in 2008. I'm so touched BF remembered I have mentioned to him before that I would want to try Desire next time. (After our dinner at Breeze in 2007. Breeze is sited at the rooftop of The Scarlet hotel.) That was almost 3 years ago!

Our appetizer comes with fresh oyster, prawn, scallop, fish egg and soft shell crab. Nothing is beatable to this!

BF ordered the lamp chop and meat was tender and smooth.

I had the Kurobuta Pork Belly with cripsy skin. As usual, it never failed my taste buds!

I still love taking photos with this sofa. It greatly reminded me the first time I was here with BF celebrating Valentine's Day in 2007.

And I know one day I want to bring these lights home!

Mini 28th Birthday celebration
Here are the post-dated photos for last 3 weeks!
It was a long weekend and we went to a couple of places. Firstly on 27th Nov, we went to Des and Rain's new house at Sembawang to check out their renovation.
Then we headed to Melben Seafood at AMK. Thanks Des and Rain for the Sumptous Crab feast! Like before, we ordered their famous chilli crab, creamy crab and side dishes. I'll upload the photos if there is a chance as it's in another camera. =)
We returned back to the guys' home and had a mini celebration. The Lie's parents were away for a church retreat at Desaru resort so Rain and I stayed overnight at the guys' house for one night.
Happy birthday to me! May I always stay young and cheerful as I grow one yr older!
The following day, we had dim sum for lunch at Crystal Jade restaurant. Then I headed to meet sister to Expo as she needed my M1 plan to sign up for a new HP.
Right after we were done, I went back to Bishan and meet the rest for a dinner at Pow Sing restaurant @ Serangoon Gardens, followed by desserts at the dessert bowl. If you want some sweet treats, do give this place a visit if you are around the area. It's a nice place to chill out with friends and they serve nice, chilled desserts as well. But seats were limited and pretty packed at night. We waited for around 15 mins before we got a table.

Am I seeing things? Was there a flower on BF's head? lol.

This is a nice one I noticed at the cafe. "I've got low education, Not beautiful. But my pocket have lots of money."

We had four different types of desserts! Personally, I prefer the durian mousse. It's really rich and I believe they are using D24 durians.

TWILIGHT NEW MOON
I know there are many men (and some women) out there who won't agree that the movie 'New Moon' is very nice! Some must have been turned off by the slow pace as long dialogue scenes were involved. But I seriously do enjoyed it though. Some parts were so touching and romantic that I felt like crying.
I should say, don't watch it if you are not a Twilight fan at all and if you aren't an emotional freak. LIKE ME!!! A little part of me still belong to the category of high school crushes and that women need men to survive. Between love, how they have to make choices.
I enjoy watching love of humans and vampires.

Pyjamas Party

As you can see from the above title, we will be holding an X'mas party @ Des & Rain's new house with the theme 'Pyjamas'. All of us will be dressed in pajamas and I guess I will bringing my favourite soft toy along. lol. But we won't be staying overnight as most of their furniture are not in yet.
I'm so excited I need to shop for the costumes tomorrow!

Random thoughts
Had an awesome belated birthday celebration last Saturday with BF! He brought me to two special places!! I'll disclose them in another post when I have those mei mei photos!
Just some random thoughts over the past few days. Since the day BF proposed to me, I have been effortlessly searching around for wedding banquets etc, even in office! (P.S: Hope my boss don't read this. lol) Seriously, before he proposed, I have already been looking around. Smile. I seem to be more anxious!
There are a few places I have in mind and will share when the time is ripe. I have sent emails to the wedding coordinators for the package prices and have received speedy response. :) I'm also gathering feedback from married couples but end day, it's still up to the individual to decide based on that so called 'feeling'.

Birthday 2009 Part 2
More photos after Part 1. We had our dinner followed by alcoholic drinks at Wala Wala Holland V. They went all the way to make me tipsy and I, in return did some funny poses for them. There was live band and they delicate a birthday song for me! As the place was getting crowded, we headed Essential brew for some bites and they sabooed me again by ordering one more alcoholic drink for me. I could not take the last straw! Luckily my BF came to fetch me sometime later, else I might end up vomiting in the premise!

More on my birthday celebration in the next post.

Birthday 2009 Part 1
I was busy uploading my countless Japan photos in Facebook for the past few weekends that I couldn't find time to blog. I realised I only had three posts for November! I wanted to keep to a minimum of ten posts per month but it seems hard as festive season gets nearer.
Anyway, the long weekend was busy for me as my colleagues and friends celebrated my birthday with me! Here's some sneak previews of some photos. These were taken in a rundown room of my office on last Thursday. My colleagues ordered pizza from Rite Pizza and it's yummy! Better than Pizza Hut!

After lunch, Tyan and Suyin brought a heart-shaped cake with lighted candles to me. So touched. I liked the way the candles were displayed in a heart shape. Thanks for the love!

After work, the gals (Tyan, Suyin and Jolene) brought me to Holland Village Wala Wala for another round of celebration. We had dinner there and one of the waiters suddenly walked over to us and told us there were a few guys who were keen to treat us drinks. We hesitated but finally agreed since it's FREE! While having dinner, a friendly lady chatted with us and explained the reason for the treat. They had made a bet and the guys lost so the forfeit was to treat a group of girls whom they noticed at the bar and it was us! The photos were with Jolene, shall post when there's a chance.
It was enjoyable and fun throughout the night with the girls. I had great fun though I'm being forced to drink. Tired so this shall be a short post.
